    ● Impregnation die CFD

The impregation die CFD is performed, aming to design the impregnation die and to find optimum operating conditions in terms of the number of grooves, the groove shape, CF moving velocity, polymer resin flow rate, temperature and pressure. The effects of the structure and operating conditions on the CFRP (carbon-fiber reinforced plastics) porosity, the uniformity of CF filament distribution, and the cross-sectional conformation of the UD tape are investigated by using CFD simulation.
